2013 Ford C-Max for sale in Surrey BC

Introduction

Behold the hybrid! Ford's first-ever hybrid only model, combine the energy of a Lithium-Ion battery and a 2.0 L Atkinson-cycle gas engine, and you have the C-MAX. C-MAX will operate electrically up to 100 kilometers per hour, allowing just the electrical traction motor to run the car. The gasoline engine offers extra power when battery is not enough, and together, they create over 180 horsepower.

For the environmentally conscious, worried about reducing their carbon footprint, to the simply fuel efficient car driver, C-MAX is the perfect hybrid.

Exterior

Perfect for the city, the 2013 C-MAX is built on a 2,469 mm wheel-base, and is 4,406mm long. Seems small, but big things come in small packages, as they say. C-MAX rides on 17 inch alloy wheels on all models as well.

All C-MAX models come standard with Advancetrac® with Roll Stability Control, an electronic stability control system that is four systems in one: Anti-lock brakes, traction control, Yaw Control (helps drivers avoid skidding and fishtailing) and a vehicle roll motion sensor that automatically engages the Stability Control system, should the vehicle being to tip. All things considered: It's safe to say this hybrid is safe.

The C-MAX Hybrid comes in 2 trim levels, SE and SEL ? both are very similar on the outside. The C-MAX SEL model comes with everything the SE model comes with, and also adds a few extras, like heated front seats, Serius XM Satellite radio, rain sensing wipers and intelligent access with push-button start.

Interior

It's what's inside that counts! All models of C-MAX come stock with SYNC® with My Ford, a revolutionary syncing system that allows you to use almost every smartphone function with the sound of your voice, should your smartphone be compatible. Sync® is powered by Microsoft™.

Performance

It's a hybrid ? fuel economy is top notch here, but here's the skinny on this hybrid's economy: The 2.0 L uses only 4 liters per 100 km in the city, and 4.1 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway. All of this, and a whopping 195 horsepower. Not bad, right?

Options

This year, say hello to the C-MAX Energi, which offers maximum efficiency with it's combination of lithium-ion battery and electric motor, and a gasoline engine for charging when needed. The gasoline is strictly to charge the lithium ion battery that powers the electric motor, so fueling up? Rare. The Energi can also be quick-charged by the 240 volt charging station (installed at an additional cost, not included with the vehicle) or can be charged overnight with any standard 120 volt outlet. This car has the definite possibility of being a zero-emissions vehicle for the city commuter that plugs their car in every night.

With out of this world fuel economy, options that don't stop and looks to kill, the Ford C-MAX is just what the hybrid owner wants! Plug it in, gas it up (but only once in a while!) and only pay $25,199 for a base model.
